PHYSICAL THERAPY

  • We provide evaluation and treatment in a one-on-one setting.
  • We can rehabilitate and restore your body from chronic or acute pain and injury. You'll use strategies to continue the activities and lifestyle that you love without pain
  • We address common conditions which include back and neck pain, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, sciatica, musculoskeletal injuries (shoulders, hips, knees, etc), chronic pain, fibromyalgia, migraines/headaches, scoliosis, TMJ.
  • We'll apply manual therapy treatment techniques that may include muscle energy technique, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, strain and counterstrain, functional indirect technique, joint mobilization, and integrative dry needling.


YOGA

  • Problem Solving – Do you experience aches and pains in your body after your yoga practice? I can help you with proper technique and alignment to maximize the benefits of your physical practice, whether you are a beginner or advanced yogi.
  • Beginners - There is no better time than now to begin your yoga practice! I can help you build a safe home practice or help you prepare to attend a community yoga class.
  • Re-starting – Has an injury or surgery limited your yoga practice or prevented you from rolling out your mat? We can modify your practice and work together so that you can safely return to yoga and prevent future injury.
  • Groups – Do you have a buddy or two with similar goals? Maybe a few running friends who also have knee pain? Small group sessions are available and a great way to have fun and learn together.


EDUCATION

  • Anatomy Workshops- Informative workshops at the Wilmington Yoga Center that are open to the public with a focus on applied anatomy, injury prevention, and yoga posture modification.
  • Yoga Teacher Training in the anatomy modules of the 200hr and 500hr programs at the Wilmington Yoga Center
  • Guest Lecturing in the University and other academic settings on Yoga as Medicine
  • Professional Inservices for physical therapists, physicians, and other health care professionals on the benefits of yoga as medicine.
