Do I need a prescription or physician’s referral?

A prescription or referral for physical therapy is not required; you can call to make an appointment right now. Physical Therapists have direct access in the state of North Carolina, which allows them to practice without a physician referral. However, you may want to check with your insurance company to be sure that no referral is needed for reimbursement purposes. Having quick or immediate access to Physical Therapy can often be the difference between your condition being acute or temporary and chronic.

Do you accept my insurance?

Integrative Rehab and Wellness is a fee-for-service facility. This allows patient care to be determined by your condition and your personal needs, not your insurance plan. We accept cash, checks, Flex, HSA, FSA and all major credit cards. All payment is due at the time of services rendered. If you have a PPO, a superbill will be given for your PT session upon request with appropriate billing codes if you wish to bill your insurance company. You pay for your treatment the same day we see you in our office and your payment may be reimbursed by your insurance provider. You may want to check with your insurance company to determine whether or not you need a referral for reimbursement purposes. Integrative Rehab and Wellness is an "out of network" provider for all insurance carriers which allows us to concentrate on your health and healing process and determine your plan of care according to your needs.

Please refer to the How to Determine Your Insurance Benefits Worksheet.

What can I expect from my first evaluation and treatment session?

For a physical therapy evaluation, please fill out the client intake sheet prior to your initial visit. If you are unable to print the forms at home, please arrive 15 min early to your first visit.

Your first appointment will be 60 minutes and consist of a review of your past and present medical history, a movement assessment, and treatment.

Comfortable clothing is most appropriate for evaluation and any additional treatment sessions.

How do I get started?

Please contact me by phone or email at your convenience. I am happy to answer any questions you may have prior to scheduling an appointment. All sessions and group classes are by appointment only. A free 15 minute assessment is required for all medical yoga therapy classes for patients who have not been seen for prior individual treatment sessions.

How are the Physical Therapy Services and yoga services at Integrative Rehab and Wellness different from other yoga classes and yoga therapy?

The medical therapeutic yoga individual sessions and group classes are instructed by an experienced, educated, and licensed Physical Therapist. An educational background and clinical experience in physical therapy combined with extensive training and experience in medical therapeutic yoga allows for the evaluation and prescription of yoga as medicine at the highest level of quality. Patients and clients of Integrative Rehab and Wellness will be evaluated and treated as individuals in a safe environment in order to maximize your body’s potential.
